Artificial colors have one job...to distract people from the absence of real food. Real food is vibrant & colorful. Processed food with filler & chemicals...not so much. So, these processed food brands have to add artificial color to give the illusion that what you are eating looks presentable. Processed foods have ZERO nutritional value. Artificial dyes are made from petroleum & have been FDA approved for awhile now. The United States originally had over 50 different artificial dyes but over the years, they have been recognized as UNSAFE & TAKEN OFF THE MARKET. Only 7 remain.
